American Honda has announced a recall affecting several of its CRF off-road motorcycle models from the 2025 and 2026 model years. The recall, which impacts approximately 12,600 units, stems from a potential issue with the handlebar clamps. According to a report by Dennis Chung at Motorcycle.com, the clamps may not properly secure the handlebars, leading to potential rotation and an increased risk of accidents.

Motorcycle.com reports that the recall notice, issued through the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), warns that the handlebars on affected motorcycles may unexpectedly rotate within the clamps. This can compromise rider control and elevate the risk of a crash.

As of the announcement, Honda has reportedly received one report of a crash potentially related to this issue. Fortunately, the incident did not result in any injuries.

Remedy:

Owners of the affected CRF models are urged to immediately cease riding their motorcycles. Honda advises contacting an authorized Honda dealer to schedule a free inspection. If the inspection reveals an issue, the dealer will replace the handlebar clamps at no cost to the owner.

For further information and to verify if your motorcycle is included in the recall, owners can visit the CPSC website or contact their local Honda dealer. It is crucial to have this issue addressed promptly to ensure rider safety and prevent potential accidents.
