Cardo acquired RISER in 2023. Cardo Ride represents the evolution of the RISER platform, incorporating Cardo's communication technology. The company states that the goal is to expand the value Cardo offers to riders beyond its communication devices.

According to Cardo Systems, the Cardo Ride app retains the core features of RISER, including ride tracking, route discovery, ride planning, and community sharing. Cardo states that over 200 million kilometers (130 million miles) have been tracked using the RISER app. These features are intended to remain central to the Cardo Ride experience.

While the Cardo Connect app will continue to manage device settings and pairing, Cardo Ride will focus on the riding experience itself, community engagement, and content sharing.

The Cardo Ride app includes several new features:

  • Upgraded Newsfeed: A personalized feed highlighting rides, stories, and community updates.
  • reWind Experience: A feature for creating and sharing ride recaps on a 3D map.
  • Group for All Cardo Riders: A community space for connecting with other riders and sharing routes.
  • Seamless Link to Cardo Connect: Integration with the Cardo Connect app for device management.

Cardo Systems says that future updates will include deeper analytics, smarter integrations with Cardo communication devices, and additional community features.

Alon Lumbroso, CEO of Cardo Systems, stated that Cardo Ride aims to link rides, stories, routes, and the riding community within the Cardo ecosystem (per a press release from Cardo Systems).

Existing RISER users will automatically transition to the Cardo Ride app, with their profiles, ride history, and community connections preserved, according to Cardo. The company plans to announce more feature updates and integrations in the coming months.

Cardo Ride offers a free version with existing features. A free trial of Cardo Ride Pro is available to unlock the full experience.
